Audre Lorde Project. Founded in 1994. The Audre Lorde Project is a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming People of Color center for community organizing, focusing on the New York City area. Through mobilization, education and capacity-building, we work for community wellness and progressive social and economic justice. Bronx Community Pride Center. Founded in 1995. The Bronx Community Pride Center is committed to nurturing and empowering members of our community to enjoy and realize their full potential. Hetrick Martin Institute.  HMI was founded in 1979 for the protection of LGBT youth. Hetrick-Martin’s flagship program is the Harvey Milk High School, founded in 1985 in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education, which administers the school and is responsible for admissions. http://www.hmi.org/ 

HRC.  Founded in 1980. As the largest national gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, HRC envisions an America where GLBT people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community. http://www.hrc.org/

LGBT Community Center. Founded 1983. National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. The mission of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is to build the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. ... Queens Pride House.
